Cover Letter Question

PolArt is more than a festival—it is a celebration of Polish culture, creativity, community and connection.

In your cover letter (maximum 300 words), please explain:

• Why you are interested in this Executive role.

• How your skills, experience, networks and personal qualities would contribute to the successful planning and delivery of PolArt Perth 2028.

• How you would help create a positive, collaborative and inclusive experience that celebrates Polish arts, culture and community.

You may wish to draw on experience in areas such as leadership, governance, event management, arts and culture, volunteer management, fundraising, sponsorship, community engagement or project delivery. You do not need experience in all of these areas.

🎨 PolArt 2028 is coming to Perth – and we want YOU to help shape it! 🎭

As many of you have heard, Perth will proudly host PolArt 2028, Australia's national Polish Arts Festival. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to showcase the incredible talent, culture, creativity and spirit of our Western Australian Polish community.

Join us for a Community Information & Ideas Workshop where you can learn more about PolArt 2028, share your ideas, meet others who are passionate about Polish culture, and help shape the future of the festival.

This is not just an information session—it is an opportunity for our community to come together and begin imagining what PolArt 2028 could look like in Perth. Through a series of interactive workshops and discussions, we will explore ideas, identify opportunities, and gather input from people across the Polish community.

During the workshop we will:
✅ Share information about PolArt and what hosting the festival involves
✅ Explore ideas for artistic programs, community events and cultural experiences
✅ Identify opportunities for community involvement and volunteering
✅ Map the skills, interests and expertise within our community
✅ Gather ideas to help shape the vision and direction of PolArt 2028
✅ Connect people who would like to contribute to future planning and working groups

We will also be opening Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for positions on the PolArt Perth City Organising Committee, including leadership and committee roles. These volunteers will play an important role in guiding the planning and delivery of the festival over the coming years.

PolArt belongs to all of us. Whether you are an artist, performer, volunteer, parent, supporter, professional, student, or simply someone who wants to see our community thrive, your voice and contribution matter.
